Coordinate the Group Exercise
Program:
- Develop and maintain a safe and effective
aerobic dance program to meet the needs and capabilities of all members.
- Train and monitor class instructors, both
part-time and full-time staff.
- Provide workshop information to all
instructors.
- Provide coverage for designated classes on a
regular basis, as well as open classes due to illness, vacation, etc.
- Complete monthly participation figures for
Director's Report.
- Complete instructor payroll on a bi-weekly
basis.
- Attend workshops and conferences to stay
informed of changes in technique and philosophies in the industry.
Provide daily assistance to facility members and
potential members:
- Provide information and facility tours to
interested non-members.
- Conduct fitness evaluations, orientations, and
one-on-one programming sessions.
- Provide floor coverage during peak hours to
monitor members' exercise sessions.
- Monitor front desk procedures and
organization, including member payments, and new member sign-ups.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Health Fitness or related field.
- Aerobics certification through International
Dance and Exercise Association, the Aerobic and Fitness Association of
America, or the American College of Sports Medicine.
- Desired one to five years Corporate Fitness
Experience.
- Minimum of one year Aerobics Teaching
Experience.
- Strong organizational/management and
communication skills.
- Strong computer skills
- Current CPR certification.
